Where it all began - well, a good proportion of where it all began (with a few new panels here & there). Datsta - the great teacher. No longer with us in body, but certainly in spirit. Finished eight rallies in row without a problem !

Rallies:

Datsta competed in the Otago Classic Rally gaining 8th place with Craig Patterson at the wheel. Since Sara took over, Datsta has competed & finished in the Hawkes Bay Rally, the Nelson Rally, the Daybreaker Rally (Manawatu) (all 2001), the Westland Rally, Hawkes Bay Rally, Nelson Rally & Hanmer Rally (2002).

Bad Bits:

At the Whangamoa Hillclimb in June 2001, Datsta misbehaved & Sara sent him head on into a bank at around 100km/hr to teach him a lesson ??? Sara broke her wrist & Datsta became a lot shorter on one side. A makeover (plastic surgery job) taking only 2 weeks saw him ready to rock at the Hawkes Bay Rally. We can't thank former Team Manager Lance Hastie enough for all his work - almost 24 hours a day for two weeks - putting Datsta back together again. Ably assisted by his neighbour Darren and service crew Michelle and Ian Barr.
